ADMISSIONS

This Institute is running a 3 years “Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT)” course common to all IIHTs. The subject of “Apparel & Garment Making Technology (AGMT)” will be taught in the final year in addition to the regular subjects.


Age Limit & Selection:


Selection is made as per the DCH norms i.e SSC qualification, the age of candidates should be between 15 and 23 years as on July 1st of the particular academic year. For SC/ST candidates age should be between 15 and 25 years, eligibility criteria is common for all 10 Institutes. A total number of 78 candidates are selected in terms of counselling, basing on the merit of marks every year and allot the seats as per the following quota of the states concerned.

SPKM IIHT, Venkatagiri : 47+6(EWS) = 53 - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States
IIHT, Salem : 11+1(EWS) = 12 - Tamilnadu
KHTI, Gadag : 4 - Karnataka
IIHT, Bargarh : 8+1(EWS) = 9 - Odisha (Only Telangana Students)

Andhra Pradesh State Government reservation Policy will be observed while counselling and filling the seats.

Admission into SPKM IIHT, Venkatagiri:

This Institute is admitting 66 candidates every year as per the following quota of seats.

Andhra Pradesh : 47+6=53 (6 EWS seats are without stipend)
Tamil Nadu : 4
Kerala : 3
Karnataka : 3
Maharashtra : 2
Pondicherry : 1

Stipend will also be paid @ Rs.1000/-,1100/-,1200/- respectively during the three (3) years.

The advertisement will be published in leading Newspaper.
